​Mike Shepherd (Director & Founder of Kneehigh) and Sarah Wright (Puppeteer & Artistic Director of Curious School of Puppetry) have taken over the lease of The Barns Lamledra on the South Cornish coast.

“When I first starting teaching, several decades ago, in a grotty and ghettoised Nissan hut in inner city London, I quickly learnt the importance of creativity and how the conditions of creativity need to be taken seriously. I first secured the lease of a group of tumbledown barns for Kneehigh over 30 years ago. These barns have been a ‘living’ creative space where seeds are sown and ideas taken for a run - almost every Kneehigh show has been incubated here – they remain a unique location and a spiritual home for artists old and new as we all imagine new futures.”
